Holi

Holi, a festival of colors is celebrated in most parts of India, in the month of March. It marks the onset of spring, and also signifies the victory of Good over Evil. I think all the festivals signify that. May be, it is to remind us that, always goodness and truth, triumphs over evil.

My friends suggested me to do something in quilling to represent this festival and gave the idea of earrings. I never thought about it before and what a wonderful idea from my friends. I immediately set to work and I had just two days to prepare. I could only do two earrings set. Here is what Holi is to me..... a riot of colors and happiness.

Thank you dears for putting the challenge before me and coaxing me to do this.

More earrings.

As I had mentioned before, encouragement from my friends has driven me to try more earrings.
And I pretty much feel that I came up with better models. :)

I was searching the net for some patterns for earrings when I came across this dress, which inspired me try a geometrical design.

'Blooms' A quilled picture.

I needed to make a quilled wall hanging to be given as gift. As usual I searched the net for some ideas and saw quilled gerbera by Manuela Koosch which looked so original.

But I didn't have different sized papers to try for original touch. Here is what I came up with. I wanted to do a spray of white small flowers which I incorporated into this picture.

Here is a glimpse of what I ended up with and to my amazement it was a success amongst my

Thanks to my friends, this success has boosted my confidence and I plan to make more quilled jewellery.
