Cute Bella with Sunflowers

Hello,

Today I am sharing my inspiration post with Conie Fong digi - 'Sunflower Bella'

I printed the image and colored it with Copics as well as Polychromos pencils. The sunflowers were so small that I could get the perfect coloring only with pencils. Bella I colored with copics.

I thought of putting down the image on a shabby chic card. So I used few pattern papers from Graphic 45 that matched with the color scheme. I added few doily die cuts, laces etc. I added few handmade flowers to finish my card.

Special gift box

Hi there,

Today I am sharing a step by step procedure to make a circular gift box and that too from empty tape rolls. I have used Graphic 45 pattern paper for this. So next time the tape runs out, use it to make a beautiful gift box.

Tutorial:

I took two empty rolls for my project.

I took a strip of normal printer paper measuring 2 cm wide, and placed it around the roll to find out the length of paper required.

I drew a line around the outer edge to mark the lid and cut it across using a cutter. I used another empty roll for the base.

I sanded the edges to remove frayed edges and smoothen them

Traced the outer edge of the base and also the lid on a chipboard piece and cut them out.

I sanded the edges of chipboard and stuck it to the lid and the base.

Remove the paper and sand the inner side of the lid so that it fits easily to the base while closing.

Decorated with paper and embellishments and Voila!! a beautiful gift box is ready!
I used 'Vintage Hollywood' 8 x 8 paper pack. Here are few better pictures.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you liked my upcycled project. Till next time - Happy crafting!!

Upcycled Home Decor

Hi there,

I am back with an upcycled project. The monthly challenge of Graphic45 as well as 'More Than Words' Monthly challenge were perfect for me to create this project.

Today I am sharing how I upcycled a cake base. I had kept this base for a long time to create a wall hanging or try out a Mixed media project, and this challenge was an opportunity to get me going.

I had the 'Nature's sketch book' paper pack, and this was the chance to fussy cut and I was on a spree of cutting butterflies. Who doesn't love butterflies and I couldn't stop myself. :) You will see for yourself in my final project.

This is the before pic..

The final pic...

Few close up shots....

and finally I added a stand at the back...

and my show piece is ready!!

Most of the paper used are scraps - the black cardstock used to cover edges, the chip board for making stand and the strips of pattern paper. A lot of fussy cutting from various G45 papers, hand made flowers, pearls and rhinestones and chipboards finished the project.

Hope you liked my creation. Linking this to the following challenge:

Hello there,

I was requested by my friend to make an explosion box for her son's first wedding anniversary.
I have used 'Vintage Blooms' papers and 'Feel Like a Butterfly' papers from Bob n Betty.
All the flowers are made by me and I love making my own flowers for my projects.

Hope you like my creation. Thank you for stopping by.

Monochrome CAS card

Hello everyone,

I am here with my first post as DT for Itsy Bitsy.  Super happy to be here and be part of this team. So let me jump  right away into my project that I want to share today.

I have made a card using the clear acrylic stamps from Itsybitsy. I have used the stamp set 'Corners and Sentiments'. Absolutely gorgeous and elegant design.

  • For this card I took an A4 size white cardstock from Itsybitsy and cut it lengthwise to get a piece measuring 4 1/8 " x 11". I scored it at 5.5 " to get a top fold card.
  • From the remaining strip I cut two pieces - one around 1/8" less than the base card and the other 1/4" less than the base card.
  • The larger piece I inked the edges with Olive green pigment ink. This pigment ink from Itsybitsy is quite juicy and spreads smoothly and quite well.
  • When you layer the panels it should leave a small border all around.
  • On the smaller piece I stamped  images using the stamps from 'Corners and Sentiments' with the Olive Green ink. Pigment inks take time to dry so we can heat emboss them easily. I heat embossed the stamped image with clear embossing powder.

  • The Clear embossing powder from Itsy bitsy is of amazing quality and gives a thick embossed effect .
  • I took a small strip of cardstock and inked it with Olive green ink . On another thinner strip I applied watermark clear stamp pad and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder.
  • Here is strip with gold embossing. I coated it twice for a better coverage. The effect is amazing!
  • I arranged the panels for a dry run before sticking them down.

  • I stamped the sentiment with same ink and layered it on a piece of cardstock inked with the green ink. I mounted the sentiment on foam tape for dimension.

  • Here is another picture of the final card.

Hope you like my card.  Thank you for stopping by. Cheers!
