Hinged filgree cards

Continuing with Christina Griffiths inspiration, I tried the hinged filgree cards, which are small 6" x 4" cards made with Spellbinders dies. I am becoming crazy about Spellbinders dies... :) I added quilled flowers as embellishments.

Here is one more, but here I tried my hand with Spellbinders Spiral Blossoms die.

Long time.... catching up !

Hello all,

It has been a long time since I wrote in my blog. I have been quite busy with quilling and card making. I don't know where to start. If I have to continue from where I left, then it will take lots of posts. So I will just showcase some important projects and then try to keep my blog up to date :)

Being a Design Team member of Indian Quilling Challenge, was challenging as I was new to quilling and craft world. But that was a learning process for me and a chance to acquaint many amazing crafters.

The last post as a DT member was in November 2014 and I made a Christmas card.

I started making cards inspired by Neli Beneva. I came across Christina Griffith and her tutorials while surfing the net. She has been a great inspiration and I learnt a lot from her tutorials and fell in love with Spellbinders...

Here are some of the cards I made with Spellbinders dies.

More to follow. Happy crafting :)

Indian Quilling Challenge: Inspiration from DT Gayatri

Hello folks

This is Gayatri from Kraqui - kraft and quilling. Here is my inspiration for the IQCG challenge: Anything goes with geometrical shapes.

Ths stud base is a tight coiled circle, the main part a fusion of 6 triangles to obtain a hexagon and the dangler is a square. The spaces have been filled with beehive and marquise.

Happy Quilling !

Flip card

Few people had asked me about the flip card I made for my son. I searched the web where I had come across a tutorial for this card but couldn't trace it. So here I am giving the picture of the dimension. Please try it before actually making the card. I tried with the dimension mentioned in the picture but it came out smaller than what I wanted. I adjusted the dimensions and tried it out on magazine sheets before I did the card.

Hope this helps you.

Poster made with quilling, punchcraft, painting......

'Create Change'.

Just like a caterpillar, which is unnoticeable, changes to a beautiful captivating Butterfly, we too can create a change that is beautiful and nature friendly..
The life cycle of the butterfly is painted. I have pasted the caterpillar, pupa and the butterfly separately to give a 3D effect. The title also depicts change that is colorful and beautiful. The word 'create' is in black and even the letter 'a' is quilled in black. The word 'change' is made colorful and 'a' also filled with colorful quilling to show change can be bright and exciting..

Hope you enjoyed my work. Thank you for visiting....
