Orange blooms.

I love the Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp set. It gives lots of freedom for coloring.

I stamped the image with Altenew Crisp dye ink Mango smoothie. Colored the image with Polychromos. Gave a coat with Wink of Stella Clear pen. Fussy cut the images. Stamped leaves with Altenew inks and cut them.

Took Neenah CS and inked it with yellow, blue and green distress inks for back ground. The color combination was inspired by the colors of the humming bird in the Fusion Card Challenge photo. Added die cut with MFT Dainty Scallop die.  Added an HFC border die cut on the side for a dainty look. Adhered the colored images with foam tape for 3D effect.

Stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and distressed it and stuck it to the panel.

A closer view of the coloring.

Blue peonies

Hi there,

I am back with more coloring and as usual noline coloring. But this time I tried the Polychromos color pencils from Faber-Castell. (Inspired by Marika Rahtu )

The flowers are from Peony bouquet stamp set. Colored and fussy cut the flowers and leaves, and stuck them on the card base. I added a background panel, made using layered embossing resist technique. (Inspired by Altenew video )

I cut the  embossed panel slantingly and stuck the main panel with foam tape. Layered a black strip of CS highlight the panels. The sentiment is from "Beautiful Day" stamp set.

Here is the completed card.

Hope you liked this card. Thank you for stopping by.

Happy crafting.

Masking technique

I am trying my hand in making CAS cards. I have tried masking technique in this card. I used flowers from Altenew stamp set Beautiful day.

I drew a circle since i wanted the image arranged in an arch. I stamped the flower image on Neenah cardstock, masked it to stamp the leaf so that it was behind the flower. then I masked the leaf so that I could stamp the bunch of flowers. I stamped the image lightly to color them using no line coloring technique.

I used Copic markers to color and shading and highlights done with Derwent water color pencils. I did not have good color pencils and Derwent has bright color shades.

I cut the circle and around the image to make a window. Layered the window with embossed cardstock. Added sequins to add a bling to the card. Stamped and embossed the sentiment from the set and layered it with black cardstock. Here is the completed card.

The color inspiration was from Aletnew March challenge : From Places Abroad - France
