DT post for Mini Album Makers Challenge

Hello crafty peeps,

I am thrilled to be part of Mini album Maker Challenge team. I love creating mini albums and this opportunity will help me try new things and also journals. So here I am with inspiration for the February Challenge.

For my first project, I have made a mini scrapbook album, measuring 7.5 inches x 5.5 inches. It has four pocket pages measuring 7 inches x 5 inches, with flaps and tuck in spots for journaling tags.

I have used the paper pack 'Love Letters' from Mintay papers. here are some pictures of the album.

Back cover of the album.

Here is a brief description of how I made it.

I took medium weight chipboard pieces measuring 7.5 inches x 5.5 inches and another piece measuring 2.5 inches by 5.5 inches for the spine. I added red tacky tape around the edges and also tyvec strips at the hinges for strength.
Tip: Add double strips of tacky tape at the hinges for more strength since this part is used more.

I covered the chipboard with ivory-colored cardstock.

For the hinge, I took a cardstock measuring 6.5 inches by 5 inches. I trim down the 5 inches a sliver so that the pockets can fit easily. I have made a hidden hinge for the album. I generally leave only a quarter of an inch as wings on both ends. So I scored 1/4 of an inch first and scored every half an inch up to 6 1/4, so that you get 4 hinges with half an inch gusset between them. I added the pocket sleeves and flaps.

Here is a walkthrough of the album:

I have used die cuts using Fantasy Dies to decorate the panel.

I fussy cut a few elements from the paper pack and added my handmade flowers. I added a couple of gemstones and die cut elements.

I layered the inner panel also to match the front one. I added the sentiment at the bottom left corner.

Hope you like my card. Thank you for visiting my blog. Till next time - Happy Crafting!!

Birthday card for a dear friend.

Hello,

I recently made a card for the birthday of my dear friend. I used Mintay papers and die cuts using Fantasy dies. And obviously my handmade flowers as embellishments. 😀

The card is A4 size - 8.25 x 5.75 inches. I chose the pattern papers and distressed the edges. I layered them with lace die cuts using Fantasy dies. I have used Mintay papers 'Bloomville'. I fussy cut two butterflies from the pack and added glitter to them.

I have used Hydrangea dies from Fantasy dies to create the blue hydrangea flowers. For the rose and other filler flowers, I used the Classic Rose die from Heartfelt Creations. The sentiment is from Kelly Creates stamp set which I stamped and heat embossed. I added a few gemstones as embellishments.

For the inner panel, I tore the pattern paper diagonally and layered it with lace die cuts. I added the sentiment on the left corner down, so that the pattern paper image is visible.

Thank you for stopping by. If you liked my card, show some love by sharing your thoughts in the comments section below.

Holly's Purrfect Christmas

Hello!

This will be my last post for this year.... how quickly days pass by. Time to say goodbye to 2019 and welcome 2020!!!
So here is another card made as DT inspiration for Conie Fong using her digi - 'Holly's Purrfect Christmas'

As usual, I colored with copic markers and shaded with Polychromos pencils. I love this method since I can create fine shading details.

I layered the image with green cardstock and added to a 6" x 6" top fold panel. I added dies cuts using Fantasy dies and a handmade poinsettia flower. I added some sparkle dust on the flower. A Christmas card cannot be complete without a little sparkle.

Hope you liked my card. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New year.

Till we meet next year - Happy crafting!

DT Post for Conie Fong

Hello,
Merry Christmas to all!
All of you would be making cards for Christmas and here I am with my DT inspiration card for Conie Fong using her digital image 'Snowy with Poinsettia'. I colored the image with Copic markers and gave shading with Polychromos color pencils. I added a few spots with a white gel pen to give an effect of snow falling.

I layered an A4 size card with pattern paper and decorated it with die cuts using Fantasy border dies and fussy cut elements from Mintay Paper collection - Home for Christmas'. I added a few snowflakes die cuts also.

Some close up shots for you. I inked lightly and added glitter on the snowflakes.

Hope you liked my card. Till next time - Happy Crafting!!
