Inspirational post for Scrapmir - 'We are all Brothers'

Hello,
I am back with another project for Scrapmir for their challenge - 'We are all brothers'.

I was reminded of my dog, 'Bushy', whom I lost almost 6 years back. I made an accordion pocket album to treasure some of the special moments we had captured.

I have used the beautiful paper pack 'Gentle Morning' and the chipboard, flair buttons and the die cut sheet for embellishing the album.

The album is 6.5" x 4.5" and has 6 pockets with 6 inserts measuring 5" x 4.25". Here are more pictures of the album and a video of the album at the end.

cute matchbook mini photo album

Hello,

I have a cute little matchbook album, which can be used as such or as an insert in albums. This is my inspiration project for Itsybitsy.

It measures 4" x 4" and I made it out of a  single 12" x 12" card stock. You can make this for birthday/ anniversary/ or any occasion with few pictures of cherished moments.
I have used 'Vintage Frame' die for cutting frames for photos and the flowers are made with the flower dies in the set.

So without much ado, let me get into how you can make this.
  • Take 12" x 12" cardstock and score at 4" and 8" on one side. Rotate it 90 degrees and score at 4" and 4.25" , and 8.25" and 8.5"

  • Cut the quarter inch flaps on both sides as shown in the picture.
  • You will end up with the sheet looking like the one in the picture below. Fold and burnish all the fold lines well.
  • Cut alternate flaps to around 1. 75" so as to make pockets.

  • From the cut scrap pieces, make four 1" wide pieces. score and fold at .5" .  The pieces should slightly less than the pocket height. Stick these to the pocket flaps.
  • Cut the two side flaps of the top fold which will be less than 4". This will be the flap cover.
  • Stick the side flaps to the base to make pockets.
  • You can shape the cover flap in any way you want.
  • Decorate with pattern paper and other embellishments.
  • I have used the Vintage Frame die, which gives a perfect frame for photos.

Accordion album

 Hi folks,

I made an accordion album. But this was with a twist .. a photo mat in between the accordion pages. I have used papers from Papericious paper pack - Ephemera. This was made for a couple's 25th Wedding Anniversary as a gift from their daughter.

I tore two pieces from one of the pages so as to get 'Always' and 'Forever' and distressed the edges of the paper. Inked the edges with Vintage photo DI and added lace. I cut two butterflies from the same paper and stuck them. Added handmade flowers to finish the front cover.
A view through the different pages.....

A matching folded cover for the above album

I am entering this for the current Papericious challenge
