Tri fold Folio

Hello there,

Here I am with an inspiration for the Mini Album Makers Challenge. I have made a trifold Folio using the Graphic 45 - 'Floral Shoppe' collection.

The folio measures 9" x 5" and the spine is 1" wide. I think I should have made the spine a bit wider say 1.5" because by the time I added the photo mats and journaling tags it became a bit bulky.

I have used the Graphic45 Floral Shoppe paper pack. I was stocking this for quite some time reluctant to use it. It is such a gorgeous paper collection.

For the cover, I decorated with fussy cut flowers and a sticker from the sticker sheet. I added a few clear drops too.

For closure, I used an elastic band and added a charm from my stash.

The folio has waterfall flaps and pockets for tags and photo mats. Here are a few pictures.

Here is a walkthrough of the folio

Hope you liked my folio. Do check out the amazing projects by our DT members at Mini Album Makers Challenge.  and join us with your creations for this month's challenge.

Special Anniversary card

Hi there,

Here is a card I made recently for a wedding anniversary, a gift from kids to their parents. I love interactive cards, So I made a twist and pop up card.

The card measures 6" x 6" and the pop up panels - 3.5" x 2.75". I have used Graphic 45 'Floral Shoppe' pattern paper.

I embellished the front panel with my handmade foamiran and paper flowers.

Is any project using G45 papers complete without fussy cutting? Lol.... few fussy cut elements on the front panel. I foiled the sentiment on the front with Minc machine. the glare on the gold foil is giving it a dark look.

On the inner panels, I added messages which were foiled with pink foil.

Hope you liked my card. Till I see you next time with another project - Happy crafting!!

Special gift box

Hi there,

Today I am sharing a step by step procedure to make a circular gift box and that too from empty tape rolls. I have used Graphic 45 pattern paper for this. So next time the tape runs out, use it to make a beautiful gift box.

Tutorial:

I took two empty rolls for my project.

I took a strip of normal printer paper measuring 2 cm wide, and placed it around the roll to find out the length of paper required.

I drew a line around the outer edge to mark the lid and cut it across using a cutter. I used another empty roll for the base.

I sanded the edges to remove frayed edges and smoothen them

Traced the outer edge of the base and also the lid on a chipboard piece and cut them out.

I sanded the edges of chipboard and stuck it to the lid and the base.

Remove the paper and sand the inner side of the lid so that it fits easily to the base while closing.

Decorated with paper and embellishments and Voila!! a beautiful gift box is ready!
I used 'Vintage Hollywood' 8 x 8 paper pack. Here are few better pictures.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you liked my upcycled project. Till next time - Happy crafting!!

Upcycled Home Decor

Hi there,

I am back with an upcycled project. The monthly challenge of Graphic45 as well as 'More Than Words' Monthly challenge were perfect for me to create this project.

Today I am sharing how I upcycled a cake base. I had kept this base for a long time to create a wall hanging or try out a Mixed media project, and this challenge was an opportunity to get me going.

I had the 'Nature's sketch book' paper pack, and this was the chance to fussy cut and I was on a spree of cutting butterflies. Who doesn't love butterflies and I couldn't stop myself. :) You will see for yourself in my final project.

This is the before pic..

The final pic...

Few close up shots....

and finally I added a stand at the back...

and my show piece is ready!!

Most of the paper used are scraps - the black cardstock used to cover edges, the chip board for making stand and the strips of pattern paper. A lot of fussy cutting from various G45 papers, hand made flowers, pearls and rhinestones and chipboards finished the project.

Hope you liked my creation. Linking this to the following challenge:
