Whimsical Wonders.... DT post for Conie Fong

Hello,

It is a long time since I colored and my DT post for Conie Fong was long pending. Change of residence, settling down had me occupied and now I am back to my crafting and today I have used one of the images from the set 'Crystal Fairy'. I have used the image without crystals.

I have always loved stories about fairies and goblins. When as a kid, I was always immersed in such whimsical and mystical stories and even used to fantasize meeting them. Dark forests, small fairies with glittering wings and magical dust, making our dreams come true....... I read somewhere "Sometimes we need to survive the reality". How true! So let me get to reality and share how I created my project 😃

I colored the image with copic markers and used Polychromos pencils for some shading. I lightly gave a background shading with Distress inks.

I created a Mixed Media Layout using the image. I have used Stamperia Papers 'Dream'. I added some stencilling and stamping in the background and used a few layers of papers. I also added a few chipboards embellishments and diecuts. I glued few sequins since a fairy is all glitter and magical. I cut a sentiment from the paper pack and adhered it with foam tape.

I finally added my handmade foamiran flowers and few butterflies which I fussy cut from some of the pattern papers in my stash.

Here is the final layout:

Hope you liked my Layout. Thank you for stopping by. Till next time - Happy Crafting!!

Pink and Purple Birthday cards

Hello,

Recently I made two birthday cards and the request was one to be pink based and the other purple.

For the purple based card I used Stamperia 'Lilac Flowers'. Such a gorgeous paper pack. I made a tri fold card and embellished the front panel with my handmade foamiran flowers and die cuts.

Tags, Photomat cut from the paper pack. Birthday message foiled with my Minc machine using Deco foil.

Here is the Pink themed card. I used Bob n Betty 'Floral Nymph' paper pack. Gorgeous flowers and beautiful Nymphs and loads of fussy cutting. Again die cuts and my handmade foamiran flowers as embellishments.

Hope you liked my cards. Thank you for stopping by. Till next time - Happy crafting!!!

Hooked

Hi there,

I am at Papericious blog today as a Guest Designer, sharing two projects using their paper pack 'Hooked'. The papers have gorgeous floral images for fussy cutting and I have done a few to embellish my projects.

Tunnel card

The card measures 8.5” x 5.5”. I created the base with Vanilla card stock and created the tunnel panels inside with the pattern papers.

I die cut circle windows for the tunnel effect. I fussy cut the floral patterns from the pack and adhered on the panels. I die cut one of the sentiments and adhered it in the center.

On the side panel I created a small pocket to hold a message tag. This piece I cut from the cover of the paper pack. I fussy cut a small bow and added it on the tag.

On the front panel I added two circle frames and die cuts at the corners. I added few of my handmade paper flowers I had in my stash.

Hope you liked my card. Here is a video of the card.

Magnetic bookmark

The book mark measures 6” x 3”. I created a flap and layered all the side with paper from the 6 x 6 paper pack.

Before layering I added magnets for closure. I added few die cuts and fussy cut some floral images.

I added a sentiment from the paper pack on the smaller flap. I added twine for the bookmark and adhered few die cut butterflies.

Here is a video of the bookmark:

Hope you like my projects. Thank you for stopping by. Till next time - Happy Crafting!!!

Guest Designer at Papericious

Hi there,

I am so excited to share the news that I am a Guest Designer at Papericious. They brought out two Valentine themed papers in Feb and today I am showcasing the gorgeous 'I Love You' paper pack.
I have 3 projects to share.

Spinner card

Recently Jennifer McGuire had share a spinner card tutorial and I was itching to try it out. I created the base panel and made the spinner heart with cut apart from the paper pack.

Here is a video of the spinner card

Shaker card

The second card is a shaker card. I made two heart windows and created the shaker part on the front panel. I added few handmade flowers and die cuts to decorate the front panel.

The paper pack has cute little cut apart and I had to create something with them. So I made a simple pop up elements on the inside. And added the sentiment from the sheet.

Tag

I had scrap papers lying around and I thought that what better way to make use of them than making a tag? I cut a base measuring 3.5” x 5.5” and trimmed the scraps and added a doily scrap too!! I also added few fussy cut elements from the sheets.

Hope you liked mu creations. Thank you for stopping by. Till next time ....

Explosion box for Valentine's day.

Hello,

Here I am sharing my DT project for ScrapMir for their task 'Sweet Valentine'. I could not post this earlier since I was shifting my residence. Today I found some time to squeeze and write this post.

I have used the gorgeous paper pack 'Beautiful Moments' to create this two layered explosion box. I have used coordinating chipboard pieces and die cuts.

Here are the sides of the explosion box...

I have added corner pockets using Heartfelt Creations die - Fleur Borders and Pockets die and added photo mats. I have also fussy cut the journaling tags from the sheet.

On the second layer I have added heart shaped photomat / journaling space. In the centre I have added a chipboard cake and decorated with die cut hearts and handmade flowers.

Desk Calendar - DT Inspiration post for ScrapMir

Hello,

A very Happy New year to you.  To kick start my crafting for the new year, I have created a desk calendar for my DT post with ScrapMir. I have used their fabulous paper - 'Charming'

I had always wanted to make a calendar and this year I finally did it!! Yay!!

I made the base with medium weight chipboard and created a magnetic base for monthly calendar panels. I made six panels with months stuck on both sides.

I used coordinating chipboard pieces, epoxy stickers and die cuts to decorate the panels and of course my handmade flowers.

On the back I have created a pocket to store the monthly calendar panels.

Here is video of the calendar:

Hope you liked my project. Wishing you all a crafty year ahead !
